Believing the Bible, serving Christ, allowing Him to lead and guide your life, doesn’t mean it’s always going to be easy. In my experience, there will be challenges, trials, battles along the way. The wonderful blessing in it all is that for the called, we know we have already overcome and there is absolutely nothing too hard for the Lord to accomplish. Despite this, humanity has its hold and while I won’t presume to speak for everyone, I know that I certainly have my down moments. Behind The Music: Here I Am

So today I launch a “Behind the Music” blog series. I thought folks might be interested in hearing the stories behind the songs on my album. After all, that’s the reason I sing and the reason for my album. To share all the wonderful things He has done for me and the moving ways in which He speaks to me. I wanted to start with Here I Am, because it is kind of a funny story, but a powerful lesson on a couple of fronts. Let Go: My First Album

Music has been a big part of my life since I was around four or five. A minister at a vacation bible school camp told my mother that my sister and I were musically inclined and the next thing I know, we’re taking piano lessons. From there a whole new world opened up that I’ve fully embraced to this day. I started “composing” early on. There was this plaque I found and the words inspired me.
